On Thanksgiving evening, Lady Gaga, the mother monster, had Thanksgiving special. The first one was A Very Gaga Thanksgiving. Lady Gaga performed her own songs and there were guest stars.
The second one was the Muppets holiday special. This one was done last year also, but when ABC approached lady Gaga about this year’s holiday spectacular, she made it clear that it would not be Thanksgiving without the Muppets.

When the news got out that Lady Gaga wanted the muppets back this year, a spoken person for Kermit said that the frog was excited and thought it was a wonderful opportunity since they already had a history together. He also said "We will not even mind if she mistakes some of the muppets for pieces of her wardrobe".
In the pop culture world Lady Gaga is one of the muppets biggest fans. In the last couple of years she wore a dress made of Kermit toys on a German TV show. She has also managed to keep the muppet chic going by wearing a puffy skirt made from animal heads to an event in Manchester. The following year, for her monster ball she had a fishing-looking thing "Fame Monster " made. For that she had actually Jim Henderson's creature shop to design and make it. She had wanted to do a cameo in the muppets new movie that was released in 2011, but it never happened. But the muppets will be around for plenty of more movies and specials.
