Philip Seymour Hoffman had written a will about 10 years before his death in which he expressed his wish that his son should be brought up in New York. If that doesn’t happen, then he willed that his son should be brought up in Chicago, Illinois or San Francisco, California. He wanted his son to be exposed to the culture, art and architecture that these cities offer. Most of his fortune has been left to his partner and the mother of his three children, costume designer Marianne 'Mimi' O’Donnell. The three children are Tallulah, who is seven, Willa, who is five and Cooper who is now ten. His will also set up a trust for Cooper to pay for his education, health, support and maintenance. His daughters were born after the will was drawn up so his son will receive half the money when he reaches 25 and the rest of it at age 30. The family has requested that the will be dealt with on an expedited basis, an indication to the fact that the family needs cash.

Award-winning Hollywood Star, Philip Seymour Hoffman passed away only a few days ago due to an overdose of heroin, but the celebrity news mills have not stopped churning out stories regarding his life. The actor, remembered with fondness for his signature pair of reading glasses, was allegedly part of a love triangle, which featured himself, his former girlfriend Mimi O’Donnell, and a mystery “other woman” whom he referred to in a series of recently discovered diary entries. The prescription glasses wearing actor is said to have scribbled numerous pages of his troubled, love life related thoughts in his diaries, some of which were illegible. It is thought that Hoffman wrote some of these troubled entries while in a drug-fueled stupor, and gossip mills are running overtime in their bid to identify the mystery woman.
